People I Know Episode 7: Tailor Made

tai·lored

/ˈtālərd/ adjective

adjective: tailored

1.    Smart, fitted, and well cut.

Everything doesn’t work the same way for every individual.  That’s why clothing comes in different sizes, and fabrics are made from different material.  Quite literally, every body is different, and each outfit requires a different cut to suit each purpose.  To be a cut above the rest, a good tailor must be able to identify a need before it is voiced, and act accordingly.  This same philosophy is equally sound when it comes to our birthday suits.  Health and fitness have evolved to encompass a variety of functions, and as such, routines must be tailor made to meet the need.

Enter Tailored Fitness.

Founded just a few years ago, Tailored Fitness began as a simple outdoor boot camp at a local park.  Now it is a licensed brand with two brick and mortar locations, and a sizeable following.  Their methodology is simple: Provide quality fitness services to those in urban settings.  Operating out of Lauderdale Lakes, Florida, they are currently the frontrunners in a niche that is often overlooked in a place driven by luxury: the blue-collar worker.

Not everyone has the luxury of being able to afford $50/hr for quality fitness training, nor do they have the ability to make the drive across a population dense region multiple times a week.  By providing a product that is both affordable and accessible to the people they seek to reach…all to the soundtrack of Soca, Calypso, and Afrobeat.

When not engaging in his fit massive with his personal brand of “Fitness sarcasm”, you can find Kamal and his Crew on their website at http://tailoredfitness.net/ (they even do online classes!), on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/fitnesstailored, on Instagram at TailoredFitness12, and on Pinterest at TeamTFit, where you can receive info on nutritional tips, and recipes.
